Clinical Support Worker – Higher Level- Urology
We are looking for a dynamic Clinical Support Worker to join our team. Hospital experience is an advantage but not a requirement.
We are open Mon - Fri and see around 1200 patients a month in a wide variety of clinics. In this role, you need to be capable of working independently supporting a clinician in a variety of clinical activities. At other times, you may be preparing or cleaning cystoscopes. Other duties will include stock management.
Main duties of the job
1. Supporting Drs and Specialist Nurses in clinical activity, e.g., cystoscopy, Prostate Biopsies, etc.
2. Meeting and greeting patients, undertaking urine samples and observations.
3. Preparing and cleaning cystoscopes.
4. Stock and medication ordering.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) level 3 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable alternative level 3 qualification with equivalent experience OR other relevant comparable qualifications.
* Satisfactory general education and record of training.
* Evidence of additional training relevant to the role.
* Hold or working towards attaining Care Certificate qualification.
Experience
* Experience at working at NVQ3 competency for a minimum of 6 months.
* Experience working in urology/surgery/outpatient environment.
* Recent knowledge and experience of the NHS.
