Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct visual inspections on welds to identify defects and ensure they meet specified standards.
* Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as required, using DPI and radiographic inspection methods.
* Ensure all welding activities adhere to project specifications, industry codes, and client standards. Maintain thorough documentation and prepare detailed reports.
* Verify the qualifications of welders on-site to ensure compliance with procedural standards.
* Confirm that pre- and post-weld conditions meet necessary requirements for optimal quality.
* Work closely with site engineers, quality control, and welding teams to share inspection results and recommend necessary corrective actions.
* Maintain high safety standards and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all site personnel.
Qualifications & Skills:
* CSWIP 3.1 Certification (required)
* PCN DPI Level 2 Certification (required)
* PCN RI Level 2 Certification (required)
* SC Clearance OR Eligibility for SC Clearance.
* Proven experience in welding inspection within sectors like oil & gas, construction, or power generation.
* Proficiency in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, including DPI and radiographic inspection, with strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ASME, API).
* Strong observational skills to detect weld defects and interpret technical specifications accurately.
* Ability to effectively collaborate with quality control teams, welders, and site engineers.
* Proactive and solution-oriented, able to quickly address any welding quality issues.
