Engineering Administrator
Location: Grantham
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am to 3.30pm (early finish on Fridays)
Salary: c£35K depending on experience, skills, and abilities
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus stats, early finish on Fridays, free onsite parking, accessible on public transport
A permanent position for an organised and efficient Engineering Administrator has become available in Grantham. The role is to provide a point of contact for customers and engineers and coordinate the activities and movements of service engineers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
1. Take incoming calls from customers and action as necessary.
2. Plan engineers' workloads and deploy them ensuring maximum efficiencies are maintained.
3. Liaise with other depots, main dealers, and 3rd party service providers, ensuring that they respond within agreed timescales and provide updated daily status reports on any ongoing jobs.
4. Log and provide key information to enable accurate and meaningful KPIs to be produced.
5. Check and monitor job sheets/timesheets using Daily Ops Monitor, bringing any variances to the attention of the service manager.
6. Ensure vehicle/engineering parts requests are followed up.
7. Produce estimates for chargeable work using a generic template.
8. General admin duties, including filing, memos, emails, and letters.
This role is suitable for anyone who has worked in a motor/vehicle/manufacturing environment.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience within a parts/engineering/vehicle service department.
2. PC literate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent telephone manner with a first-class approach to customer service.
4. Organised and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
