Milestone Academy is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Apprenticeship) to join their vibrant team as soon as possible. The successful candidates will undertake a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship. Whether you are a school leaver or more experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, this programme will offer you the chance to develop your skills and get ahead in your career. This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children, particularly with learning difficulties. Due to the complex needs of the pupils, the role includes supporting personal care and the medical needs of pupils including administering medication, undertaking moving and handling procedures and supporting pupils who may be displaying physically challenging behaviour. The role also involves supporting pupils during physical activities such as swimming, PE and physical outdoor activities such as Forest School, community visits and work experience. Candidates who are appointed will receive full support and training from colleagues and teachers.
The basis of the role is fixed term for the duration of the apprenticeship (12-18 month approximately), 31.75 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week. Our successful candidates will work towards a nationally-recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, delivered by LAT Apprenticeships.
