An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced children’s nurse to join our Children's Community Nursing Team that covers Barking, Dagenham, and Havering boroughs. The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously within the home setting and demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise and enthusiasm for delivering care to children and their families within the community setting. They must be able to evidence their ability to motivate and inspire others and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver the highest standards of care, staff support, and service delivery. They must have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude to service developments. Applicants must have a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
The post holder will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care to infants/children who require the support of the Children’s Homecare Team in the community. The post holder will share a generic caseload with supervision/support from a senior team member. He/she will also be involved in providing palliative and end-of-life nursing care to infants/children. This may include on-call and weekend cover, as required.
