Role summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic team based in Haywards Heath. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally within an SME environment, and possess a CIPD qualification. The role demands a strong background in HR practices, with technical proficiency in Excel to support data-driven decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to lead HR strategy, manage day-to-day HR operations and provide insights that shape our workforce and company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives
* Assisting with recruitment - including job postings, sourcing, interviewing and onboarding
* Provide expert advice and support on HR matters to managers and employees across the organisation
* Prepare HR reports and use Excel to analyse workforce data and trends to inform decision-making
* Oversee employee relations, handling complex disciplinary, grievance and performance management cases
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
* Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive workplace culture
* Manage employee benefits and coordinate payroll changes
* Monitor and report on HR metrics to provide insights and support strategic decisions
* Lead initiatives to improve HR processes and promote operational efficiency
* Handle employee exit processes, including conducting exit interviews and managing offboarding
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, ideally in an SME environment
* CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5)
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Ability to make data-led decisions and provide strategic HR insights
