The role
As Project Manager, you will effectively lead, manage, and co-ordinate projects to deliver agreed business outcomes. This includes delivery of business change, technology, and information systems that meet identified business requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for leading, managing, and motivating a cross-functional project team.
* Direct accountability and responsibility for delivery of allocated projects.
* Actively develops and maintains own business and technical expertise.
* In conjunction with Group Procurement, negotiates service levels and specifications with senior customer management and suppliers.
* Contributes to, and ensures the set-up of, appropriate contracts for the supply of products and/or services.
* Responsible for the day-to-day relationship with suppliers (including off-shore resources). Ensuring appropriate monitoring of contracts and Master Services Agreements, authorising or initiating any actions that may be required.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* Experience of running complex projects across a number of work streams.
* Running multiple projects or a large project.
* Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
* Solid judgement and decision making.
* Acts as internal advocate for the project.
* Resilient and pragmatic, stays calm under pressure.
* Strong leadership and people skills and strong team player.
