Manage the delivery, resourcing, and performance management of an effective service in line with Council and Statutory requirements.
Ensure maintenance services meets objectives, targets and quality standards achieving high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
Develop, sustain, and improve performance in consultation with key stakeholders as required, look for continual improvements.
Ensure compliance with all required legislative and Council policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as transport regulations.
Manage internal procurement processes, stores, and vehicle parts.
Work with the Operational Manager and the Workshop & Compliance Manager to seek out opportunities, developing a strategy to increase potential business.
Actively engage and make recommendations to support continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For From You
1. To participate in improvement projects.
2. Liaise with external contractors/repairers/suppliers as required.
3. Undertake quality assurance of workshop activities at all locations that come under the CTS remit.
4. Monitor Health and Safety compliance.
5. Responsible for the financial control and budgetary reviews as necessary.
6. Develop strong relationships across all Directorates and external customers, delivering strong partnerships with new and existing clients.
7. Managing a team of technicians to provide highest standards of maintenance & compliance.
8. Effectively leading, motivating, and developing the team.
9. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions and to comply with all health and safety legislation as appropriate.
10. Experience in managing a busy workshop or transport Operation.
11. A City & Guilds in motor vehicle repair LGV or Light commercial vehicles L3 or above.
