Due to recent business expansion, RWG is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Department Supervisor. The primary function of this position is to perform Sheet Metal / Welding operations on a variety of gas turbine components.

An overview of your day
* Perform Sheet Metal and Welding operations using a wide variety of equipment.
* Conduct various fabrication projects throughout the ARB facility.
* Conduct preventative maintenance of tools and equipment including machine daily inspection.
* Organise own workload within the department and proactively highlight HSE matters which could improve our performance.
* Provide regular feedback to Supervisor on progress of tasks and escalate any issues that may impact on agreed turn times.
* Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5’s).
* The Department recognises a number of shift patterns and there will be opportunities to work overtime.
What we need from you
* Time served Sheet Metal Worker with recognised Apprenticeship.
* TIG welding experience working with thin gauge material.
* Competent in using measuring equipment.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow process control.
* Sound organisational, planning and communication skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Competent in interpreting technical drawings and process specifications.
* Knowledge of QHS&E procedures & COSHH assessments.
* Knowledge of Gas Turbine repairs and overhaul processes would be advantageous.
