An exciting opportunity has arisen for a determined and skilled individual who is committed to improving the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in Sheffield.
Position Overview
The Strategic Commissioning Manager for Vulnerable People and Changing Futures will manage a team responsible for a number of prevention and support contracts with external charities and voluntary organisations, ensuring that these services deliver good outcomes for vulnerable people and those living with multiple disadvantages.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the implementation of a new strategy for early help and prevention services for vulnerable adults.
2. Work alongside Community and Social Care Service Leads in the Council and external partners in the NHS, Voluntary Sector, and Police.
3. Champion the voice of people with lived experience in the development of new service models.
4. Take the lead on the delivery of the Sheffield Changing Futures Service, a Government funded programme aimed at transforming the lives of adults with severe and multiple disadvantages.
5. Oversee the transition from a centrally funded Programme to a wider early help and prevention delivery model for Sheffield.

The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting people with challenging lives, operate confidently in a multi-agency environment, and focus on frontline delivery and wider system change.
