Job summary
The Security Cell Reception Administration Officer is pivotal to the control of entry to the Establishment. The requirement to assist the Garrison Security Cell with administrative support enabling reception access control to function effectively. Clerical work, communication, management of events and a use of IT will be key to supporting the organisation.
Management of the organisation's activities and events on behalf of the line manager is required daily to support the garrison.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week working on a staggered shift pattern which usually means working 1 weekend per month.

Job description
The Security Cell Reception Administration Officer will:
1. Handle a range of routine activities that support the access control system.
2. Co-ordinate any maintenance requirements.
3. Work to timelines, communicate verbally, email, in writing, on the telephone and face to face.
4. Maintain communication with all departments within the Establishment and external agencies as the need arises.
5. Process clearance applications.
6. Administer the SharePoint pages applicable to the department, liaising with the information managers and service operations as required.
7. Assist in decision making.
8. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills to their colleagues.
9. Work in a flexible and dynamic manner to deliver at the required business pace.
10. To provide administrative support to the OC and department.
11. Complete tasks as directed by the Garrison Security Officer, including working from a separate remote location outside the Establishment.

13. Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
