Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Part-Time Social Media and Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance our social media presence and drive business growth. You will work closely with senior management to support marketing initiatives and identify new business opportunities.
The role will sit within the business support team of admin, finance, sales and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
Create, schedule, and manage content across all major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram). To our brand guidelines.
Develop and implement a social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
Monitor, analyze, and report on social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a community around our brand.
Attend monthly sales meetings to ensure collaboration with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Business Development:
Identify and attend targeted networking events in our working and targeted areas.
Assist in lead generation, including identifying prospective repeat commercial clients, reaching out via email or phone, and scheduling meetings.
Assist in identifying and researching new business opportunities and target markets.
Support the creation of marketing materials and proposals to attract potential clients.
Develop relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand our network.
Content Creation and Copywriting:
Write and edit blog posts, case studies, and other marketing materials to promote services and expertise.
Ensure that all content aligns with company values and is tailored to our target audience.
Market Research:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and social media best practices to inform business development strategies.
Provide insights on new tools, platforms, and techniques to maximize outreach and engagement.
Qualifications:
An outgoing and positive personality will be key to success in this role, knowledge of using social media and business development, ideally within the construction, architecture, or consulting sectors is preferred but not essential.
A strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and current digital marketing would be useful and excellent written and verbal communication skills is required.

Hours and Compensation:
This is a part-time position, likely 10-14 hours per week with flexible hours based on availability and business needs.
