The role focuses on category-level inventory management, ensuring stock aligns with demand forecasts, sales trends, and company objectives. We provide more buildings for hire than anyone else, including modular buildings for sale and rent, and off-site permanent buildings for sale for temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent use.** YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES*** Reporting into the Head of Inventory, you will manage inventory across multiple locations, ensuring accurate stock levels.* Develop and execute inventory strategies for assigned product categories to ensure optimal stock levels.* Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Stock Value Vs target, Stock turns, Stock Accuracy, Obsolescence, Supplier performance.* Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to forecast demand by category.* Utilise historical data, market trends, and analytics tools to create accurate demand plans.* Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, movements, and adjustments within assigned categories.* Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or overstocked items and recommend strategies for liquidation or reallocation.* Work with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and minimise stockouts.* Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistent delivery adherence.* Manage inventory tracking systems and ensure data accuracy.* Generate regular reports on inventory performance, category insights, and key metrics.* Analyse variances between forecasts and actual inventory levels to continuously refine processes.* Ensure inventory practices align with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in inventory and category management.** WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU*** Proven experience in an inventory management, supply chain, or logistics environment.* Degree educated, preferably with a Supply Chain or Business Management.* Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple priorities.* Experience in developing and implementing new processes.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.* Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability.* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.* Experience working with inventory management systems and ERP software (Business Central experience would be advantageous).* Forecasting experience to ensure operations function on optimal inventory.* Record in improving supply chain performance.* Able to embrace this fantastic opportunity to shape and transform a business.** DIVERSITY & INCLUSION**At Algeco, we are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.
