Walker Close is an acute ward for people with a learning disability and/or Autism who require caring and compassionate staff who want to provide high standards of care to aid their recovery.

Walker Close is made up of two adult acute admission bungalows. We provide high standards of care and a safe and therapeutic setting to promote recovery. You will be required to work shifts, made up of early, late and night shifts.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills, and will undertake on the job training. We believe supporting our staff is key to job role satisfaction. Feeling valued with autonomy and respect.
You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and sensitivity in your approach to people who may be distressed or have a challenging manner.
Main duties of the job
1. You will take part in ongoing assessments, and plan, deliver and evaluate the needs of our service users, in accordance with their Care and Positive Behaviour Support plans.
2. You will take part in ongoing risk assessments, recognising and responding to any changes, ensuring that the care and safety of the service user remains the priority.
