CNC Setter/Operator
As a CNC Setter/Operator, your main responsibilities would include:
* Setting up CNC machines: Prepare, load, and secure materials and tools required for machining operations.
* Operating CNC machines: Run and monitor CNC machines, adjusting settings as needed to ensure accurate and efficient production.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings: Understand and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to set up machines and produce parts to specifications.
* Programming CNC machines: Input program parameters, commands, and tooling offsets into the machine controls to execute machining operations.
* Conducting quality checks: Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications.
* Troubleshooting and maintenance: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or defects, performing routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
* Adhering to safety protocols: Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
* Collaborating with team members: Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and engineers to coordinate production schedules and address any issues that arise during machining processes.
* Documenting work: Keep detailed records of production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and quality inspection results.
Hours:
Monday - Friday - Alternating hours - 6am-2.30pm / 2pm-10.30pm
