Job Description
We are currently looking for Mechanical Engineers to join our team here. We are a 24/7 operation this role will be day and night shifts, working 12 hours at a time. The good news is, this means that in a 2-week period, you will work 7 shifts and have every other weekend off!
The vital responsibility of the Mechanical Engineer aids in ensuring the smooth running of terminal operations by maintaining the accessibility and reliability of cranes and mobile equipment. You will be allocated to an asset group to carry out planned maintenance, repairs, and project-related work as well as provide help during the delivery, inspection, and commissioning of new equipment.
It's an interesting opportunity to work with machinery like quay cranes, terminal tractors, shuttles, and more. In this varied career, no two days are ever the same. You might need to do critical repairs on one of the machines here after dealing with general gear box maintenance.
About The Role
How will you contribute:
1. To competently carry out preventive maintenance and repair works, in accordance with company safety standards and to minimise equipment downtime. (This may involve Electrical duties)
