We support and educate in clinical areas and run MDT training programmes. This is in line with evidence based practice and national drivers.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to promote practice development through clinical education and support. This includes Healthcare and Maternity Support Workers to Band 8 staff and the wider MDT team.
The post holder will be an exceptional professional role model. They will lead and manage educational and/or practice development activities and act as a clinical expert within the Trust.
The post holder will ensure learning and support is driven by national and local agendas and also responsive to local intelligence and individual's needs. The practice holder will have insight into educational and human factors in the provision of safe, high quality care.
Keys to success include relationships both within the Maternity services and other Trust departments, and external stakeholders. The post holder will be pivotal in developing a unified faculty promoting cross site and MDT development.

Qualifications
* Registered Midwife - Minimum of 3 years at Band 6.
* Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor
Experience
* Evidence of substantial clinical experience and ability to function at level required of the post
* Experience of working in partnership with multi-disciplinary team
* Demonstrate experience of teaching and assessing within a clinical environment
Skills
* Evidence of report writing and presenting skills, to include formal presentations
* Demonstrate an awareness of priorities, deal with workload, adapt to changing requirements, and use initiative
