The Role
To interpret and translate the clinical records for inpatient, day case and outpatient episodes into international classifications to form part of a national and local data set ensuring accuracy, consistency and compliance with national standards and definitions and for use within the Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
What we'll need you to bring:
* A minimum of 2 years Health Records experience within the NHS dealing with computerised records.
* A good knowledge of PAS modules and other systems.
* A good knowledge of Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology.
* This knowledge should be obtained by completing the relevant ISD training course.
* A good knowledge of OPCS4 and ICD10 classifications, gained by completing the official ISD training course.
* To be able to use initiative and judgement in relation to complex clinical summaries.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have:
* Educated to Standard Grade or SVQ2 level, ECDL or equivalent.
* Knowledge of patient journey and interaction with other specialities.
* Handle patient records in line with Health Records protocols.

This role will be based in Health Records within University Hospital Wishaw.
The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
