The ward specialises in stroke care but also has sub-acute beds and a palliative care suite. Our wards are nurse led which will give you high levels of autonomy and satisfaction in delivering excellent patient care, supporting rehabilitation and increasing patient independence and quality of life. Our cohort of patients are increasingly complex due to the need to facilitate transfer from the acute trusts as soon as they are medically fit for discharge and to prevent admission from home to the secondary care sector. Successful applicants would have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to help patients in their journey to return home and will also be able to develop their skills in nursing care and discharge planning.
