An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of an inspirational team as a weekend General Sales Assistant in our Pets & Aquatics Department.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and great motivation are essential to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
This position is to work every weekend.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance.
* Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently.
* Identifying customer needs through interaction, and taking appropriate action.
* Maintaining good, up-to-date knowledge of the layout of the department and centre.
* Establishing and maintaining an excellent standard of merchandising and housekeeping in accordance with company guidelines.
* Carrying out all till and cash handling procedures in line with Company procedures.
* Ensuring personal compliance with Whitehall’s H&S guidelines.
* Assisting in the cleaning of all enclosures and tanks in line with Company procedures.
* Some animal knowledge would be preferred.
* Maintaining a harmonious and cooperative relationship with staff, managers and third parties.
