About the Role:
The HR & Operations Manager will be a key part of Kinetic Games, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the studio and driving HR initiatives that enhance the employee experience. This dual-focused role combines general operations management with a strong HR foundation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR practices and UK employment law, experience in handling administrative tasks and a proactive approach to improving workplace culture and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Implementing and maintaining a HRIS system
* Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes.
* Develop and implement HR policies that ensure compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
* Handle employee relations issues, mediate disputes, and provide guidance to managers and staff on HR best practices.
* Drive improvements in employee engagement and satisfaction through workplace initiatives, feedback surveys, benefits enhancements, and fostering a positive company culture.
* Ensure a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR-related activities.
* Manage employee contracts, benefits packages, and any changes in remuneration.
* Ensure accurate maintenance of employee records and HR documentation in compliance with GDPR.
* Collaborate with department leads to streamline workflows, improve administrative processes, and implement new tools and systems where necessary.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Operations Manager, ideally within the tech, creative, or gaming industries.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR compliance, and employee relations practices.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with staff at all levels.
* Ability to balance operational efficiency with employee satisfaction, driving improvements across both areas.
* Proficient in HRIS and other relevant management tools.
* Highly organised, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities
