Expro are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join the BD/Sales team based in Aberdeen.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Expro, Europe and Sub-Sahara Region operate a $500m multi product line business unit across multiple countries including UK, Norway, Western Europe, CIS, Central and West Africa, South and East Africa. As a direct line report to the Regional Commercial, Contracts and Intelligence Manager, the Senior Commercial Advisor’s primary duties include supervising and being responsible for all Commercial Quotations being issued to customers across ESSA
Key Activities and Accountabilities
1. To improve profitability & enhance competitive advantage by accessing optimum contract rates & commercial terms with new & existing clients across area of responsibility
2. Receive all Request for Quotations (RFQs), acknowledge their receipt & log them onto both Salesforce.com & Bid Enquiry Log
3. As a decision support role, prepare forecast of project P&L (Bid Evaluation Report- BER) & analysis to support pricing decisions
4. Support with other BERs & business case within the Region as required
5. Ensure that the preparation & submission of Bid Evaluation Reports for approval is undertaken in a timely manner & in compliance with company DOA
6. Liaise with relevant Sales or Client Account Managers & formulate RFQ responsibility matrix
7. Liaise with Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Logistics & other appropriate internal departments for area of responsibility
8. Co-ordinate timely responses from designated parties for inclusion into RFQ document
9. Compile Commercial quotations & submit to Client complete with relevant signatures/documentation. Ensure document content is accurate, visually appealing, delivered to rigid deadlines & in compliance with BD QMS.
10. Guide the Commercial Analyst responsible for Quotations to maintain a Quotation archive and register
11. Generate Monthly Business Development Reports & supervise month-end OBL report/analysis which will be performed by the Commercial Analyst for ESSA
12. Conduct Revenue Assurance & BER Audit for the Region as required
13. Present monthly the quotations raised & how pricing is being uplifted through the BER process
14. Supervise the Commercial Analyst & offer guidance where required
15. Research & liaise with Treasury Compliance to report on the fiscal probity of clients new to Expro
16. Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct & Anti-Bribery policies, procedures & processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained minimising exposure to liability or risk to Expro’s reputation. Provide leadership in all ethical issues; ensure colleagues are aware of Expro’s compliance requirements & feel able to report possible violations or conflicts of interest
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
17. Degree or professional qualification preferable - Finance or Economic related
18. Previous working experience in a related commercial proposal type role, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry
19. Knowledge of Salesforce and XAIT Porter systems would be an advantage
20. Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint software
