We require a Band 7 Midwife to undertake the role of Antenatal and New-born Screening Specialist Midwife. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the NHS antenatal and new-born screening programmes within the trust, consistent with NHS England (NHSE) to ensure the programmes run efficiently and effectively, complying with quality standards. The post holder will have highly developed specialist knowledge and experience in the field of antenatal and new-born screening to report and resolve quality and performance problems. He/she will lead on the development and implementation of relevant guidelines ensuring evidence based and best practice. Ensure compliance with internal and external healthcare standards. You will work with a Antenatal and Newborn Screening Midwife for a period of time to support you undertaking this role. Interviews will take place on the 25th September. An Enhanced DBS Certificate, with the checking of the Children and Adults’ Barred Lists is required for this position. Maintain Professional Registration at all times. To identify any competency/confidence issues and support staff member through an individual support plan and objectives. To be aware and identify concerns relating to safeguarding, liaising with the named nurse for child protection, named midwife, matron for maternity services and the multi-disciplinary team. Work clinically to ensure own competencies and abilities and maintain credibility. Access all Trust and Maternity Unit Mandatory training in line with Maternity Unit and the wider Trust Training Policy.
