Overview
Salary: £40,000 - £46,500 depending on experience plus up to 10% bonus
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm
Working Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid Tuesdays and one other day required in the office weekly.

Responsibilities
What you’ll be doing
* Lead a collaborative programme across the business, supported by the Corporate Strategy Manager, to develop strategic insights and to design and propose strategic initiatives, proposals and business cases to support NHBC in delivering its purpose, strategy and business plans.
* Support the Head of Corporate Strategy and Corporate Strategy Manager in the creation and delivery of the Group Business Plan – including determining corporate strategy and developing actionable recommendations, developing a comprehensive, inclusive strategic plan, devising appropriate measures and critical success factors to monitor performance, and subsequent communication to the wider business.
* Supporting the Head of Corporate Strategy and Corporate Strategy Manager on strategy development processes, including design of materials for, and facilitation of cross-functional workshops and meetings with multiple business areas to determine NHBC’s strategy.
* Support scenario planning exercises to consider alternative scenarios and develop plans for alternative futures, or contingency plans for specific foreseeable events.
* Build strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will have
* Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and sustain positive and working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven knowledge and experience of understanding and interpreting market, customer, and business data, news, research etc from a wide variety of sources and presenting this in a way that facilitates ease of understanding and effective decision making.
* Strong knowledge of NHBC and the wider housebuilding, insurance and new home warranty markets.
* Demonstrates creativity, forward-thinking, and a solutions-oriented mindset by identifying innovative solutions to meet requirements and address challenges, while confidently providing constructive feedback and pushing back when necessary to achieve the best outcomes.
* Strong literacy and numerical skills, excellent analytical, report writing and presentation skills.
* Knowledge of strategy development and business planning techniques/principles (e.g. PESTLE/SWOT and gap analysis, scenario and contingency planning)
* Broad and holistic knowledge of the general insurance and housebuilding industries and company operations.
