The purpose of this role is to provide dedicated focus to the migration activities in order to complete transition to AWS within 12 months. It would be ideal if the post-holder had prior experience of migrating systems to the cloud, but this is not essential. What is essential is a robust and detailed approach to coordinating the activities of disparate teams, task management and excellent customer communication skills. The post holder will need to be adept at responding to varying level technical capacity from the product teams required to facilitate the migration of workloads into AWS and the cloud engineers. Liaising with customers to obtain downtime windows and testing sign offs is also an important aspect of this role. Skills and Competences The post holder will need to have the following to be successful in this role: Strong Communication Skills: The ability to clearly articulate technical requirements and updates to both internal teams and customers. Ensuring everyone is on the same page and aligned on goals. I nfluence and Persuasion: A knack for motivating customers and stakeholders, making sure they take the necessary actions, buy into the plan, and stay committed to the migration timeline. T echnical Understanding: While not needing to be an expert, the project manager should have a solid understanding of cloud technology to effectively coordinate internal resources and communicate with the technical teams. S takeholder Management: Proficient in managing various internal and external stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, and resolving conflicts while keeping the project on track. Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams, including R&D, Support, and Customer Success, to ensure smooth migration execution. Agility and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt quickly to changes and solve issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the migration process and keeping momentum going. Organizational Skills: Excellent at coordinating complex tasks and timelines, managing multiple teams, and ensuring that both technical and customer-facing activities are executed smoothly and on schedule. Customer Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and minimal disruption throughout the migration process. Execution Planning and Pacing: Develop a detailed migration roadmap, defining the sequence and pace of execution for all migrations. Governance and Progress Tracking: Establish governance frameworks to monitor progress, measure success, and ensure adherence to objectives. Post-Migration Validation: Conduct thorough post-migration checks with customers to confirm successful implementation and address any outstanding concerns. What You Will Gain: This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a global leader in healthcare safety, building up your skillset using innovative tools and technologies along the way. You will grow and develop, and be a part of an amazing international team, advancing your career further. Experience/Knowledge You Will Need: Candidates should ideally have: Strong spoken and written English skills. Experience as a client-facing project manager of at least 5 years. Experience working with AWS Cloud and Microsoft technologies. Experience in collaborating within a systems team. Working in an Agile environment. Experience of stakeholder influence. Good understanding of ITIL framework – desirable Prior experience of ‘ground to cloud’ migrations with external customer involvement - desirable By enabling flexibility in how we work and prioritizing employee wellness, we empower our team to do and be their best.
