Legal Summer Vacation Scheme
You’ll rotate across two different practice groups, carry out research, draft legal documents and attend client meetings.
Programme
During this three-day paid programme, you’ll gain insight into what a career at PwC could look like. You’ll meet mentors and buddies who’ll represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC, including some of our Black colleagues who will share their personal career journeys. The programme will include interactive sessions designed to help you develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be.
What you'll do
To secure a training contract with us, you must complete our two-week Legal Summer Vacation Scheme, held in the summer. This will help you determine if a career with us is the right fit. Perform well, and you'll be offered a training contract, with a flexible start date where possible. Note that the Vacation Scheme takes place in our London office, but training contracts may be for either our Manchester or London office.
Starting your career with us will be exciting, challenging, and rewarding. We seek individuals who are committed, flexible, passionate, and ready to invest effort. In return, we offer full support and investment in your future.
If you're pursuing a professional qualification, you'll have study time off. After completing the training contract, we'll continue to support your career development. Our opportunities allow you to grow, meet new people, and build lasting relationships. We need resilient, hardworking individuals who learn quickly and are passionate about going the extra mile for our clients.
What you'll gain
By completing the programme, you'll have the opportunity to be considered for a subsequent 2026 Vacation Scheme role in the location and business area you've done the programme. Many of our Vacation Scheme participants go on to receive trainee graduate offers. You will be required to complete further studies prior to joining as a trainee such as the PGDL and/or SQE, but this may be subject to change in future years.
What you'll need
We allow applications from first-year law students (and onwards) OR penultimate year non-law students (and onwards) to be eligible for the 2026 Summer Legal Vacation Scheme. You need to demonstrate a keen interest in business law.
You'll need to have achieved or be on track to pass an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.
When to apply
Once you have submitted your application, you'll have seven days to complete the online test, which is the first stage of our recruitment process. Applications for this role may close early should we receive a high volume of interest, so we recommend prompt application to avoid disappointment.
