Job summary To contribute to effective crisis prevention and management for adults and children with learning disabilities,. To provide hands on direct support to service user in a time of crisis, as a consequence of challenging behaviour. To support the Behaviour Analysts in the process of gathering information for assessment and working with staff and carers in implementing behavioural interventions under the direction of a Behaviour Analyst The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job To collect pre interim and post outcome measures according to the CNS referral process. To provide temporary additional support into clients' homes supported living environments and other related community locations to prevent or manage a crisis as a consequence of challenging behaviours. To ensure that service users are treated with respect and dignity ensuring that equality, diversity and rights are prompted. To provide hands on direct support to service users. To include the facilitation of all aspects of daily living such as supporting service users in meeting personal care needs, washing and dressing, Shopping and preparing food, household domestic and leisure activities, and accessing community activities The above will be achieved through the development and implementation of all aspects of active support including developing and following structured activity schedules, support protocols, opportunity plans and structured teaching.
