Living Collections Supervisor – Avian Exhibits

WWT Slimbridge is seeking a proactive and engaging supervisor to help support our Aviculture team as we take our next step forward.
We are seeking an experienced candidate who can help connect the team, embrace change and play an active role in the delivery of our new collection plan.
Home to the 6 species of flamingo, one of the largest native species aviaries in the UK and a multitude of wonderful wildfowl; the successful candidate will be joining us at a very exciting time. You will supervise the Living Collection Avian exhibits to a high standard, meeting the Zoo License requirements as set by the Secretary of State's Standards of Modern Zoo Practice. You will lead on ensuring that our visitors enjoy excellent experiences by engaging them with our exhibits.
To join as our Living Collections Supervisor you will have a wide range of experience in a variety of avian taxa, experience of supervising a high performing team, a drive to learn, communicate and succeed.
In addition, you will have extensive experience in the care, feeding, husbandry, exhibition of birds, and a solid grounding in animal behaviour. A driving license is essential for the role.
