BOOM! strives to be the best agency our clients (or you!) will ever work with. We are dedicated to always delivering work that we are proud of and ensuring that the journey is an enjoyable one.
We’re committed to developing our business without compromise to our team or our clients. We will maintain our integrity, quality of work and the experience we provide because we know that success is built on long-term partnerships, and careers that grow.
We aim to be the agency our clients would absolutely hate to lose, and our staff never need to leave!

We believe in achieving TOGETHER through:

The Role
We are searching for a talented and ambitious senior medical writer to join our team. We're looking for someone who gets excited by the science, enjoys collaborating to create great content, and gets a buzz out of having an active and vocal role with clients and becoming a trusted extension of their team. We will give you the space and support to grow in your role, as well as the opportunity to expand your areas of expertise.
You will likely be working across a range of therapy areas and accounts, ultimately acting as the lead writer for allocated accounts. You will take the lead on the conversations with the client, particularly the medic, relating to scientific content, and own client relationships where appropriate. Typical activities will include research and content development for multiple projects, including detail aids, websites, training materials, speaker slide decks, patient materials, advisory boards, promotional meetings, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of agency experience in medical or science writing, developing content for promotional or medical educational activities.
BOOM! has its HQ in Bournemouth UK, with offices in London (Holborn), Copenhagen, Denmark, and Bristol. We embrace technology to support our services and this means that whilst client travel will be a normal, expected part of the role, you won’t be expected to work from the office every day. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work from one of our offices 2-3 days a week, working the rest of the week remotely if you wish.

Our working week is 37.5 hours with core hours of 8.45–5.30 with an hour break for lunch, but we try to have flexibility where needed as long as it doesn’t negatively impact other team members.
We tend to start our days with an 8.45am Teams call, which is a mix of catch up and alignment for the day. We think it’s important to get a connection to the team and so we broadly take the time to relax into the day with focus. We don’t do timesheets!
As with most/all elements at BOOM! we win together, we lose together. Most importantly we do it TOGETHER.
