Business Continuity Associate
About this role
This is an exciting role where you’ll learn more about risk, compliance and Business Continuity. You’ll be responsible for coordinating compliance within our UK Business, planning and coordinating UK Business Continuity (BC) activities and provide consultative support to Business Continuity Plan Managers.
What you’ll do
1. Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of Business Continuity testing and recovery activities according to schedule, including Tabletop, Third Party, Notification and large scale Business Recovery Exercises, to test the resiliency of business processes and end to end services.
2. Monitor completion of all testing by BC Plan Managers, providing support and escalation where required to ensure delivery in line with agreed timescales.
3. Review and challenge the quality of UK Business Continuity Plans to ensure compliance with Enterprise Business Continuity Standards, to ensure strategies are appropriate and resilient.
4. Help to build a more resilient business through identification and discovery of BCM related issues, and by collaborating across areas to strengthen approaches to resilience.
5. Collaborate closely with other teams to ensure UK BCM are well represented in resiliency forums and new initiatives.
6. Provide support to UK Business Continuity stakeholders, chairing regular BCM meetings and drop in sessions to facilitate best practice sharing.
7. Provide Business Continuity training for new Plan Managers, including the use of our BCM system of record.
8. Manage BCM Risks, Controls and remediation activity in the risk management system.
What we’re looking for
1. Ability to build strong collaborative relationships and influence at all levels.
2. Attention to detail and ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
3. Strong organisation skills with a proactive approach to workload management.
4. Entry level knowledge of Business Continuity Management preferred.
Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office. We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home. We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
