Role Overview:
* Position: Lead Project Engineer
* Department: Operations
* Reports to: Operations Director
* Location: Wakefield
* Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Coordination: Lead a small project team (up to 3 people), offering guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
* Project Management: Administer projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Initiate projects, assess feasibility, develop budgets, define timelines, and identify stakeholders.
* Create and manage project plans, including resources, milestones, and budgets.
* Client Interaction: Build relationships with clients, understand their specifications, and communicate project progress regularly.
* Risk Management: Identify risks and escalate them as needed to ensure timely delivery.
* Collaboration & Monitoring: Work with internal functions and track project progress using monitoring and control activities. Ensure quality and accuracy of documentation.
* Evaluation & Reporting: Regularly report to management and clients, and evaluate project successes and challenges to improve future projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Organizational & Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to organize resources, manage time, and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
* Budgeting & Control: Experience in managing budgets and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
* Technical Knowledge: An engineering background (e.g., HND/ HNC, or degree in Mechanical Engineering) is advantageous, as well as the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
* Software Skills: Experience with Microsoft Project is essential.
* Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of ASME/EN12952 PED Code is a plus.
