Respect is a pioneering UK membership organisation in the domestic abuse sector, founded in 2000. Our vision is to end domestic abuse, a daunting task that requires generations of hard work. We strive for a world where domestic abuse is not tolerated, perpetrators are held accountable, and survivors' safety and wellbeing are prioritized.
We are a growing charity focused on tackling domestic abuse by holding perpetrators accountable and working with young people who use violence in their close relationships. Our key purpose is to support our sector to grow and thrive, innovate, and influence public policy to bring about social change.
Over the past four years, Respect has quadrupled in size (income of £750k to over £3m and from 13 to 55 members of staff). This growth is a culmination of two decades of hard work advocating for a focus on perpetrators of domestic abuse. We anticipate further growth as government interest increases, presenting new opportunities and funding.
As a result, we are reviewing our infrastructure and systems to ensure they are fit for the organisation we are now.
The Deputy CEO role has been established for a six month period to lead our Innovation and Support workstreams, line managing the four senior leaders who head them up while the infrastructure review takes place.
Respect is an ambitious, thriving organisation at an exciting time in its evolution, proud of the quality of our work and the supportive, inclusive, creative, and flexible working environment we have created.
