An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Respiratory Department for a Respiratory Nurse Specialist in Asthma and COPD. We are looking to recruit an experienced, dynamic, highly motivated and pro-active nurse, to join our team of specialist nurses.
Main duties of the job
Our team has responsibility for reviewing patients admitted with an exacerbation of COPD or Asthma, providing education and support for the patient, giving management recommendations to the ward-based MDT, and ensuring referral to community services/GP practice on discharge.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* RN registered with NMC.
* Completion or commitment to undertake relevant extended role scope competencies.
* Holds a diploma or degree level qualification in respiratory care, i.e., Asthma and/or COPD course.
Experience
* Experience in caring for respiratory patients including those with Asthma, COPD.
* Experience of supervising students.
* Experience of teaching and education.
* Experience of nurse-led clinics.
Skills
* Spirometry Course [ARTP or Similar].
* Spirometry competent.
* FeNO competent.
