Join the PLM team based in Bristol as an Advanced PLM & Configuration Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation. What success will look like for you, as an Advanced PLM & Configuration Engineer? As an Advanced PLM & Configuration Engineer, you will be required to assist supporting the company building the end-to-end PLM infrastructure with methods and processes supporting Design, Manufacture, Airworthiness and Quality Management Systems. You will be responsible to the Head of PLM for the implementation of our Product Configuration Management System, including Aircraft Variants and Options through a Change Management process and infrastructure within 3DEx Platform This will involve assisting building and deploying PLM infrastructure to support Aircraft Models, Variants, Versions and Customisation linked to Industrialisation Plan, supporting the Configuration Control Manager with implementation of the Configuration Management process, Change Management, Auditing and Status Accounting. Additionally, the role will assist with creating and documenting processes and policies for Engineering data management in 3DX & provide coaching/guidance to engineering and other functional users You will report directly into the Head of PLM and be a key member of the PLM, supporting the continued development of our in-house expertise, specialist knowledge and capabilities. This will involve working closely with engineering teams, industrial partners and the wider PLM team to develop and implement the engineering process, method, tool and automation strategy to support the company product development, certification, and entry into service. What would we like you to bring. We want you to be successful in your role, in order to achieve this you will need to have strong ‘hands-on’ engineering skills, a team work ethic and the ability to take on a wide range of challenges and responsibilities across multiple streams of work. Adaptability in a fast-moving environment, with the capability to be involved in all aspects of developing the 3DEx Platform PLM Infrastructure, and able to identify innovative solutions to properly implement the various company strategies. In order to achieve you will need to have proven experience with: Working across the end-to-end engineering lifecycle with an understanding of the Configuration Management lifecycle Proficiency in using Product Data Management (PDM) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems - ideally Dassault 3DeX but not essential Ability to review and assess data integrity against standards, and train others to understand and adhere to those standards. This will ideally have been gained working in Aerospace, but other safety-critical/highly regulated industries will be considered.
