Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accounts Assistant based in Cheltenham, with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the finance team in various tasks, including credit control, reconciling cashbooks and sales commission. Day-to-day responsibilities will also involve communication with other departments to ensure proper financial management and record-keeping. Responsibilities include: Cashbooks 4 multi currency bank accounts Post all AR and GL transactions Reconcile cashbook to bank statements Sales commission Run reports in NetSuite Review reports and issue self billing invoices US Sales Tax 33 States Input data to each States’ tax portal Make payments Reconcile postings with NetSuite Credit Control Update weekly accounts receivable spreadsheets for US and UK Monitor comments provided for overdue debts Follow up on overdue debts with account managers or customers Provide statements, copy invoices and issue credit notes Qualifications Experience of Credit Control Finance and Accounting skills Strong Communication skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in financial software and tools Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Relevant degree or certification in finance or accounting is advantageous Previous experience in a similar role Required Confidence with Excel, Word and Outlook Communication skills: email, Teams and telephone Salary The salary for this role is £25,000 to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.
