Our client, a metal recycling organisation in Edinburgh is looking to expand their team by bringing on a Welder/Fabricator.
Some of the activities that you will be involved in will include but may not be limited to:
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
Maintaining a fleet of road haulage vehicles
Work to a high standard to repair, refurbish and maintain a fleet of skips and containers.
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Important requirements:
Experience with a range of welding equipment
Experience with cutting and other fabrication equipment
