To provide care and support to patients attending our Gynaecology Outpatients Department. This role requires you to support the Urogynaecology Specialist Nurses in their Nurse Led clinics including, Urodynamics, Trial without catheter, and Self Catheterisation teaching. This role also includes supporting the consultants with sterile-procedure clinics; including: oncology, post-menopausal bleeding, suspected cancer diagnostic clinics, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and supporting in Early Pregnancy Unit if required. To become competent as the Assistant practitioner for the Urodynamics Test. Following ANTT and local and national Guidelines to insert catheters, promoting best practice and infection control under the supervision of the Specialist Nurse. To become competent to provide a Trial Without Catheter service for female patients under the supervision of the Specialist Nurse. To demonstrate skills In ANTT, Bladder scanning, female catheterisation, Urinalysis, and MSU/CSU collection. To liaise effectively with Community Nurses and Catheter Suppliers To access Webice To assist the Specialist Nurse to coordinate the monthly formal MDT, with responsibility to liaise with the Urogynaecology Consultants/Primary care team for patients details and organise the agenda, notes collection, Teams Invitation and ensure that patient plans are documented and escalated appropriately. To contribute to answering and responding to patient calls on the dedicated Urogynaecology phoneline and triage clinical emergency appointments Record interventions, treatments and any changes in the woman's health status including adverse reactions, taking appropriate action to escalate for assistance as required. Be able to identify any potential risks within the environment and take appropriate action.
