We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join a nursery team in Wigan. In this role, you'll be working across the nursery, providing vital support to children with SEN. Your expertise in Early Years and your ability to adapt to the unique needs of each child will be key to their success. This role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement 1:1 and small group activities to support SEN pupils.
2. Assist teachers and other staff in creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
3. Collaborate with specialists, teachers, and other TAs to meet the needs of the children.
4. Monitor and record the progress of the children, contributing to their individual plans.
5. Prepare and organize educational materials and displays.
6. Foster a calm and nurturing environment conducive to learning and development.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
7. Experience in working with young children, particularly those with SEN.
8. Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviors in a positive manner.
9. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both pupils and staff.
10. Creativity and adaptability in supporting different learning styles.
11. Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance (L2/3).
