Our brand strategy & management team are responsible for creating the frameworks for our brand - think brand positioning, guidelines & brand toolkits. Ultimately helping the business work towards our common goal - making energy work for people and planet.
This role in a nutshell:
We’re looking for an experienced and effective Brand Manager to join our team as we cement and evolve our brand world. Over the last 18 months we’ve launched and rolled out our revised visual identity, and we couldn't be prouder of it. Now the focus is on maintaining, evolving where needed - and making sure that teams have everything that they need.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their experience managing a brand in a fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. Reporting into our Lead Brand Manager, you’ll work cross functionally - regularly interfacing with our creative studio, other departments and our agency partners.
Your key outcomes will be:
Maintaining our Brand toolkit:
* Leading the creation of new brand assets, and briefing our creative studio/external agency partners - think photoshoots, video shoots, icons, illustrations and more.
* Leading on project management and timings for Brand projects.
* Keeping our Digital Asset Management system up to date and making sure that we have the right assets available for teams to use.
* Identifying gaps in our Brand toolkit, and proactively working on filling them.
* Creating on-brand assets on an ad-hoc basis.
Brand Management:
* Leading on the day to day delivery of key brand projects.
* Be the key Brand Partner for teams across the business - you’ll be the person that teams want to go to for guidance on our Brand strategy and guidelines.
* Helping to train the business in all things brand.
* Leading on the organisation and planning of larger scale brand projects like Design or Tone of Voice training and template roll out.
* Working with teams to understand what templates and guidance they’re missing or need.
* Leading our brand management & review process, helping teams to understand what’s not on brand, why - and how they get there.
* Advocating for brand, getting teams across the business educated & excited about the impact that brand can have for their product area.
* Understanding the brand strategy, and making sure all touchpoints are consistent with it.
Within your first 3 months you’ll:
* Become our go-to brand expert - knowing our strategy, guidelines and tone of voice inside and out.
* Be confident in shaping experiences and propositions to be on brand & upskilling others in the business to better understand our brand.
* Be very familiar with OVO’s customer experience and products.
You’ll be a successful Brand Manager here at OVO if you…
* Have experience building or managing brands, either from an agency or client side.
* Have experience in creating or working on brand related content and communications.
* Have experience of project management, managing deadlines and stakeholder feedback across multiple streams of work.
* Have experience with design tools (such as Photoshop, InDesign or Canva) and know how to make great creative assets.
* Are confident delivering feedback to stakeholders and brief owners to help make sure assets are on brand.
* Have a passion for brand, branding and brand management as a tool for a successful business.
* Are empathetic and actively seek out other perspectives.
* Are confident speaking in front of large & small groups.
* Are ambitious and want to learn new skills and develop.
* Have a natural interest in production and design trends.
* Are able to see the positive side of any situation, and bring others on that journey with you – a natural optimist.
* Love a role where no two days are the same.
* Have a particular affection for the colour green and an ability to find the interesting angle to everything.
Let’s talk about what’s in it for you
We’ll pay you between £45,000 and £53,000, depending on your specific skills and experience. If your expectations are a little different, have a chat with us!
You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
