We have an exciting opportunity to work with an organization that changes young people’s lives positively by providing domestic, learning, and life support for better lives and ensuring they have the same opportunities as everyone else!
We are looking for a Children’s Home Registered Manager for an EBD Home for up to 3 young people aged between 8 and 16 years. This is an exciting opportunity to set up a brand-new home.
This role comes with the opportunity to earn up to £4,500 in bonuses per year with an additional bonus to be earned after the appointment of a full staff team for the home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organization that really supports their managers. They will consider an experienced Deputy looking for a step up for this role.
As Registered Manager, you will be taking responsibility for the implementation of all young people’s placements including their development, monitoring, and review to ensure they are fully supported emotionally and mentally.
Duties:
1. Manage the day-to-day running of the home in line with the Care Standards Act.
2. Provide support to young people with life skills and education.
3. Take the lead in setting standards and evaluating achievements.
4. Protect the young people from risks to their health, welfare, and development inside and outside of the home.
5. Provide effective leadership and team development and support.
6. Liaise with inter-agencies.
7. Oversee staff training and qualifications.
8. Manage the home's expenditure and petty cash.
9. Ensure a safe environment with regular property checks in line with health & safety guidelines.
10. Be aware of safeguarding at all times.
11. Participate in the on-call Rota when necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Social Care Services or recognized equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a children’s residential home sector.
3. Minimum of 2 years children’s home management experience.
4. Experience of working with complex and emotional behavioral needs in young people.
5. Understanding of the current Ofsted inspection framework.
6. Knowledge of current governing legislation and procedures for caring for children.
7. Ability to manage time and resources effectively.
