The main purpose of this role is to support the business with the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new starters, processing job changes and offboarding our leavers. The team is central to the People hub and support our specialist people teams to succeed and align with the wider business. Your role will be to triage all incoming queries accurately, and delegating to appropriate stakeholders where necessary. What you'll be doing: Managing employee lifecycle changes, including onboarding, offboarding, job moves and time off (parental leave, secondments, flexible working requests, etc) for all SJP employees, contractors and temporary workers. Recording and prioritising all incoming queries and cases accurately prior to handing off to appropriate stakeholders, prioritising in line with the team SLAs. Ensuring employee records are kept up to date and accurate, raising with the People Services Manager where quality issues are identified. Identifying areas of self service and assisting with creating knowledge articles for the business to use. Supporting the review cycle for HR policies, including making updates, circulating to SME's and uploading to web. Production of references, including standard employment, mortgage and regulatory references within SLA's. Provide data insights and respond to report requests as and when required, ensuring GDPR compliance. Assist with the development of end to end processes, adopting an external lens to ensure it meets customer expectations. Support the quality improvement program ensuring process standards and compliance are in place e.g. data privacy, GDPR and RTW compliance. Who we're looking for: Experience of working in a large People function with centralised services, including a basic understanding of Payroll processes and procedures. Knowledge of end to end employee lifecycle processes. Intermediate understanding of systems used within the team, including U4, SharePoint, service now. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word. Experience of using a HR ERP system, such as, workday or oracle. Awareness of GDPR and compliance within the people function. Professional across all types of communication and able to identify where to tailor responses dependent on the audience. Motivated to deliver tasks to a high standard with exceptional customer service skills. Able to prioritise multiple tasks and manage own time effectively. Passionate about continuous improvement, calling out where improvements could be made to processes or ways of working within the team or wider division.
