HR Advisor - East Yorkshire - £35,000 to £40,000 Car Allowance We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our client a growing Manufacturing business with sites across East Yorkshire. About the role The HR Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the company’s people agenda across multiple sites. This includes handling day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment law, supporting managers with employee relations, and contributing to workforce planning and development. The role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to drive employee engagement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities as HR Advisor: Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures. Advise and support managers on ER issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management. Conduct investigations, take notes during hearings, and ensure legal and procedural compliance. Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Develop and maintain talent pipelines to meet the organization’s needs. Ensure new hires receive a comprehensive induction to integrate into the company effectively. Identify training needs in collaboration with line managers and arrange development opportunities. Track mandatory training compliance and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records using HR systems. Prepare and process documentation related to contracts, benefits, and terminations. Ensure compliance with labour laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies. Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives Participate in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) activities and promote a positive workplace culture. Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction. Qualifications and Skills as HR Advisor: Essential: Proven experience in an HR generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site environment. CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Understanding of health and safety requirements in manufacturing environments. Full UK Driving Licence, the role will require travel to manufacturing sites around East Yorkshire.
