Key Worker (Mental Health)

The Role
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of a trauma informed and recovery-based model within their specialist mental health accommodation. The post-holder will provide support to residents with complex needs including mental health, forensic issues, drug addiction, alcohol issues, and physical health needs. They will be responsible for ensuring a high-quality service is delivered on a 24-hour basis. The post holder will take responsibility for a case load of residents which is outcome focused and responds to the needs of residents.
The post holder will work in line with the organisational values, showing compassion to residents, working in partnership with stakeholders, showing respect to residents, colleagues, and stakeholders, demonstrating empowerment, and being accountable.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead shifts and key work a case load of residents.
2. Ensure a high quality, recovery-based, trauma informed service is delivered on a 24-hour basis.
3. Support the manager to ensure that all CQC regulations are upheld where the service is registered with CQC.
4. Provide a consistent approach to resident support.
5. Work in partnership with other agencies and local communities.
6. Ensure effective systems to promote both safety and security are deployed.
7. Demonstrate a positive and objective attitude and behaviours in everyday practice.
8. Ensure key performance targets are met and that all resident records are up to date.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Experience of working in a not-for-profit culture in a health/social care context.
2. Experience of supporting residents with complex mental health needs.
3. Experience of statutory regulation and legislation linked to mental health.
4. First degree and/or diploma.
5. Reasonable standard of IT knowledge, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
6. Experience of safeguarding and social care.
7. Ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
8. Able to use own initiative and possess skills in problem solving.
9. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
10. Ability to communicate and negotiate with colleagues, residents, and other professionals.
11. Aptitude for maintaining positive relationships and building rapport.
