Monarch Healthcare, an established care provider, is recruiting for a Maintenance Worker to join our dedicated team at Clifton Manor Residential Home in Clifton, NG11. * Salary: Up to £25,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week. This is a full-time position and may include some weekends and bank holidays. Due to the nature of the role, work outside of the agreed hours may be required alongside on-call duties, therefore, we are looking for someone with flexibility to shift times.
* Required: Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Worker at Monarch Healthcare, you will complete day-to-day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure the care home is maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. In addition, responsibilities can include:
* Carry out repairs and decoration to the home as required and ensure the maintenance of the care home's exterior
* Report any known defects in appliances, furniture, equipment, and other potential hazards to the Manager, and take action as needed
* Monitor the fire panel daily, reporting any faults showing whilst testing the fire system on a weekly basis, recording in the fire log
* Ensure all fire exits remain tidy and free from clutter, and complete visual checks of all fire safety equipment, as specified in the company policies and procedures
* Liaise with and support visiting contractors and deliveries
* Keep ventilation units and lights clean and well-maintained, and test appliances and equipment as needed.
* Test and record water temperatures on a weekly basis
* Store products correctly and in line with regulations
* Maintain records of all required daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checks
* Undertake training to support you and enable you to complete the required testing and checks
