Phyllis Tuckwell provides palliative and end of life care for people living with a terminal illness. Based in Farnham and Guildford, we serve a population of 550,000 across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
Assistant Donation Centre Manager
Salary: £19,472 per annum (£24,340 per annum WTE based on 40 hours per week)
Location: Farnborough and Farnham
Hours: 32 hours per week, (worked over 4 days, incl. alternative Saturdays)
Holiday cover will be required on additional days throughout the week.
We are looking to recruit an additional Assistant Donation Centre Manager to support both our Retail Centre on Invincible Road, Farnborough and our Farnham Donation Centre. As part of the vibrant Donation Centre team, you will support the Donation Centre and Logistics Manager, along with a team of loyal volunteers. You will assist in the day-to-day operation within the Donation Centre, which includes sorting stock (including furniture), in preparation to go to the shops and showroom.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and maintain relationships in the local community.
The successful candidate will:
* Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with previous customer service experience.
* Be able to work independently and as part of a busy team.
* Have previous experience of managing a small team.
* Have previous experience within a warehouse environment (advantageous, but full training will be provided).
* Exhibit some commercial awareness and a desire to drive business forward within their shop.
* Hold a clean UK driving licence.
This is a physically demanding role involving the sorting, lifting and moving of donated items, with occasional needs to work with the wider logistics team in the moving of heavy furniture.
Flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is essential.
