Job summary There is opportunity to join our team as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in the sub-specialism of Haemophilia, in collaboration with Advance Practice and Consultant colleagues. The haemophilia physiotherapists are responsible for the provision of specialist clinical assessment and treatment of adult and paediatric patients with haemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders registered at Kent Haemophilia Centre. Kent Haemophilia Centre is recognised by the Department of Health as a Comprehensive Care Centre and covers a wide geographical area, including Kent and parts of East Sussex. All patients with haemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders have access to physiotherapy including: walk-in triage service for musculoskeletal (MSK) care for assessment and treatment of new bleeds or MSK problems; regular Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT) clinic review with consultants, physiotherapists and nurses for adult and paediatric patients The physiotherapists contribute to and lead on research projects and national research trials in the field. They offer extended scope skills including performing point-of-care ultrasound and are members of the Haemophilia Chartered Physiotherapists' Association (HCPA).
