This Project Manager will report to our Client Delivery Manager and will work within UKPN Services - Projects East based in our Bury St Edmunds, East Anglia office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £76,229 plus car and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

Job Purpose
You will project manage a portfolio of UKPN Services projects. Although the role will be based in East Anglia, the projects could be across multiple locations within the UK Power Networks footprint. You will ensure successful pre and post contract management of all projects on time, budget, and safely to exceed customer expectations. You will complete project management through the full life cycle of the project from initial enquiry through to post investment appraisal following the UK Power Networks Services governance and control process.
Principal Accountabilities
* Must be committed to the General Safety Policy statement, and the Stay Safe program, must be aware of their contribution, including the requirement to monitor safety performance and compliance with the systems established to help maintain high safety standards in project delivery.
* Accurate forecasting and reporting meeting all main programme milestones of projects and interface between Client and UKPN Services teams, our sub-contractors and suppliers.
* Manage all allocated projects throughout their lifecycle from enquiry, through award, on to completion and handover following project processes on time and to budget.
* Manage workload. Take full responsibility of the success and quality of projects, provide support to less senior project managers.
* Contract management following custom contracts (knowledge of NEC 3 or equivalent would be desirable).
* Produce weekly/monthly reports for review/meetings. Ensure monthly applications are progressed and labour utilised safely and works carried out to a high standard.
* Programme management of a portfolio of projects to a high level of safety and quality.
* To manage client project requirements and exceed in client delivery expectations.
* Collaborate with all disciplines within the UKPN Services team to provide an appropriate strategy to deliver a successful project and exceed client expectation.
* Manage the financial control of projects, ensuring the delivery of planned works and profit margins.
* Ensure design and construction compliance observing CDM regulation and to quality standards.
* An understanding of HV (11kV to 132KV) networks; a can-do and customer-friendly attitude is important.
* Professional reporting and presentation to UK Power Networks Services senior management.
Qualifications
* Understanding of NRSWA / Street Works.
* Electrical Engineering (to HNC or similar) is the preferred requirement; however, applications from candidates with a lesser qualification and a record of accomplishment in the installation of electrical distribution infrastructures (construction) would be welcomed.
* NEBOSH.
* PRINCE2 or APM (PMQ).
* An understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
* Experience of Primavera planning package.
