To work from our new premises in Aylsham with a family-owned company, handling PMI's M.O.T's, and assisting in repairs to ensure the fleet is run to industry standards by rectifying defects. HGV/PCV mechanical experience preferred.
Some possible school runs in the morning and afternoon, though training can be provided if needed. Overtime is available for both driving and maintenance cover. Driver training can be provided if a PCV licence is required for the right candidate, although a PCV licence is not totally essential but preferable.
Summary
As a PCV Fitter / HGV Fitter, you will be integral to the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will utilize your core skills in hand tools, fabrication, and welding to perform high-quality repairs. A valid PCV licence is preferable, and mechanical knowledge is required to excel in this role, alongside relevant skills, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our fleet.
Responsibilities
* Utilize hand tools and power tools for the assembly and fabrication of components.
* Perform welding tasks, including TIG and stick welding, to ensure structural integrity.
* Conduct mechanical inspections and repairs, applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues.
* Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
* Ensure compliance with PCV licensing requirements during all fitting operations.
