Purpose of Role: We’re looking for an enthusiastic, responsible and self-motivated individual to join our Stores team (Woking). As a Stores Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring all orders allocated are processed as efficiently as possible, ensuring these are picked, packed and shipped in a timely manner in alignment with business demand. Reporting into the Stores Team Leader you will be working closely with the Stores and Warehouse team becoming a key part of Harvey Water Softeners operational team. A key part of this role is striving to ensure stock accuracy, taking responsibility for ensuring any items are transacted and being mindful of this at all times. Following this ensuring to adhere to health and safety standards. Working Hours: Monday to Friday rotational shift pattern 08:00-16:30/08:30-17:00. Approximately 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:30-12:30 paid as overtime. Duties to include: Pick, pack and shipping of orders in a timely manner (customer orders, product requests, etc) Transacting items on the internal system (IFS) ensuring these are allocated correctly. Preparing product requests for our engineers within the field (to support first time fit rate). Dealing with engineer over the counter queries. Stock control (taking accountability for transacting stock used). Working with the inventory controller and team leader to ensure any process improvements are adhered to. Replenishing the stock to ensure this is available to pick. Completing stock takes (potentially one per quarter). General stores duties including some cleaning and maintenance. Adhering to H&S standards and reporting near misses where applicable. Required experience / skills / qualities: Previous experience working within a warehouse/stores environment. Experience working within a physical stock control environment, Computer literate. Be flexible with a willing approach. Team player who can work independently and use their own initiative.
