About the role
The Senior Brand Manager will proactively drive the development and strategic agenda for the brand portfolio to maximise regional growth opportunities and ensure our brands are consistent and powerful.
Please note that this is a Fixed Term Maternity Cover (12 months).
You will support the European Head of Brands to deliver Brand Strategies and Innovation that win by:
1. Prioritising resources to deliver the strategy & align the right people behind them
2. Translating the strategy into highly commercial and differentiated plans
3. Driving excellence in end-to-end execution
You will lead the innovation strategy and be responsible for the delivery of key regional projects in the 18 month pipeline (supported by the insights and innovation team) and accountable for the development of the supporting toolkits to enable activation in the market.
You will play a key role in developing high performing, strong and cohesive cross functional teams that will be responsible for delivering on the brand strategic imperatives and growth targets in the region.
You will have the opportunity to become a strong influencer, and learn to drive strong stakeholder buy-in, across the organisation for your portfolio plans. You will set high expectations for yourself and others and ensure a continuous improvement mindset throughout the matrix team and across all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Be one of the brand guardians for the portfolio and will play a key role in driving alignment and adherence to:
* Brand Positioning
* Innovation Strategy
* Brand Architecture
1. Understand the business, monitor performance, understand drivers and levers, and take the lead in course correction when necessary
2. Develop the regional strategic plans and delivery of the annual brand plans for European markets
3. Manage and lead cross functional teams in the delivery of key brand projects
4. Collate and understand the factors driving misses and over delivery on key projects through project reviews. Key learnings to be captured and reported back
5. Lead and manage day to day agency relationships on creative development, delivering programmes that drive behavior change both pre store and at shelf.
6. Create and gain buy in and delivery of the 18-month innovation pipeline against key trends and market opportunities
7. Create of best-in-class product and launch toolkits to ensure we win at point of purchase.
8. Be the guardian of your brands, ensuring consistency across all consumer touchpoints, and balancing growth and equity. Delivering growth while building your brands to a stronger equity position than where you found them
Further responsibilities include:
1. Leading by example as a role model for Accolade Wines values and professional standards.
2. Driving the delivery of business and corporate plans within the Europe region
3. Driving continuous improvement within the Europe region.
4. Taking a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified and mitigated, addressed and reported / escalated.
5. Being fully aware of and actively complying with Accolade Wines policies and procedures.
What you'll bring:
1. Education: Bachelor's Degree required
2. Experience: 6+ years business experience. In depth understanding, knowledge and practical experience in consumer marketing with regional experience.
